Hoardbound is a casual open-world pirate adventure. Every voyage is a hunt for the Legendary Hoard.

Its map was torn into four pieces and scattered among the pirates who roam these waters. Sink their ships, recover the fragments, and complete the map to reveal where the Hoard lies. Sail to the island, go ashore, and dig it up — then set out after a bigger one.

  • Endless procedural sea — every voyage is a new world
  • Real sailing — work the wind, avoid being caught in irons, and trim your sails for speed
  • Naval combat — broadsides for gold, bottled treasure maps, and the rare hoard map piece
  • Treasure hunting — raid the shanty camps on pirate islands and dig up buried caches
  • Charms and perks — charms wait in chests ashore, from a Compass Rose that points you closer to the wind to double-shotted broadsides. You carry only a couple at a time, and they go down with the ship. Every Hoard you claim offers a choice of perks, kept for the rest of the voyage
  • Claim islands — plant a flag to stash gold and maps safe from the sea, and respawn there
  • Ship progression — work your way up from a small hull, and fit each ship with retrofits: rigging, gunports, copper sheathing, heavier shot
  • Achievements — counted across every voyage you sail
  • Dynamic weather — drifting fog, storms, shifting wind and rogue waves
  • Beginner, normal or hardcore — sail free of the wind while you learn it, mind it properly once you can, or take on a voyage that ends the first time you go down

Every decision matters. Stash your treasure before pressing deeper into dangerous waters, or risk everything chasing one more pirate carrying the last piece of the map.

The sea is endless. The next Hoard is always waiting.
